French is the 2nd language learning in the world, for me you should choose french, it will be more interesting for you, spanish and german can be an other option, but if you travel a lot, the best choice is french.. While the french vocabulary might be easier for a beginner, i personally learned german quicker than french and i absolutely love the way sentences and words are built in german. furthermore, imo, german is a great language if you want to read philosophy.. German and french have as many first language speakers, but french is a major second language. especially in parts of the world that don't speak english as the primary second language like english.
